It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Scott Steven Smith of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Harold Smith (Smitty); and his sister Cherie Lynn Smith. He is survived by: his mother Lorraine Smith; his daughters, Anna Smith and Emmaly Smith; his grandchildren, Stella, Kingston, Oliver and Luna Cortes-Smith; his pet Winnie; his aunt June Geers; his sister Shelly Fahner (Ralph); his nieces and nephews, Alyssa and Riley; his wife Joan Smith; and also Gary Covert.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fourth Reformed Church (1226 Union Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505). A reception was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:30 PM at 3272 Remembrance Rd NW, Walker, MI 49534.
