He was predeceased by: his father Thomas Cariano; his brother Nick Cariano; and his in-law Melvin Schindler (Caroline). He is survived by: his mother Alice Cariano; his wife Kay; his daughter Devin; his siblings, Bill Cariano (Cindy), Angie Cariano, Theresa Sorensen (Bob), John Cariano (Sandy) and Fred Cariano (Brian Olsen); and his sister-in-law Jan Cariano. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM. A rosary was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Heritage Life Story Funeral Home – Van Strien Creston Chapel (1833 Plainfield Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Est St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (224 Carrier St NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505).
