He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick William and Cornelia "Katie" Johnson; his wife Ella Johnson; his great grandchild Leroy Johnson; and his sister Alice Engmark (Henning).
He is survived by: his children, Connie Merritt (Larry), Roy Scott Johnson (Nellie), Timothy Roy Johnson (Deb) and Paul Roy Johnson (Dianna). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, along with several extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ofield Funeral Home (4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
