He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Herlein and Bertha Herlein; his brother James; and his sister-in-law Betty Herlein. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, David Herlein (Joan), Daniel Herlein, Becky Cooke (Daniel), Amy Herlein and Duane Herlein (Teresa); his grandchildren, Ashley Rhude (Eric), Chelsea Herlein, Andrew Herlein (Lauren), Shelby Lewellen (Kyle), Bethany Cooke, Paul Cooke (Natalia), Noah Cooke, Chad Cooke, Tyler Herlein and Mitchel Herlein; and his great grandchildren, Christopher, Micah, Josephine and Theodore. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
