She was predeceased by: her husband Gerard Slagboom Jr.; and her parents, Tjerk [Zweers] and Sophia [Zweers]. She is survived by: her friend Renny Slagboom; her daughter Renny; her siblings, Nel and Adik; her grandchild Sloan; her sons, Douglas (Siri), Rick (Dawn) and Ted (Emily); her grandchildren, Kyle Vanderschaaf (Emma), Chase, Reid and Sloane Slagboom; and her siblings, Henk Dijkstra and Fein Zweers.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes (2120 Lake Michigan Dr NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504).
