She was predeceased by: her pet Fifi; her sons, Chriss and Edward Wentworth; her son-in-law Otis Gruis; her brother Edward Ashbaugh; and her close friend Barbara Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Paul D. McCarty; her daughters, Kari Johnson (Mark Johnson) and Geri Wiersma (Bill Wiersma); her grandchildren, Mitze Wentworth, Acacia Patterson, Brooke Swanson (Jake Stamp), Cheyenne Wentworth (Trevor Fogg), Samuel Simpson Jr. (Destini Wyn), Kari Wentworth (Javontae Braylock), Sky Hommerson (Robert Harvey Jr.), Melody Simpson and Sebastian Ackley; her great grandchildren, Shanedree Allen, Barbara Allen, Breanna Swanson, Nya Tucker, Ryan Swanson, Serenity Peoples, Leo Braylock, Xayden Fogg and Ryder Harvey; her mother Geraldine Simmons; and her siblings, James Ashbaugh, Carolyn Cepitis, Earl Ashbaugh, Teresa VanWyk and Nicholas Bray. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
