He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Helsel and Joanne Helsel. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lynn; his sons, Andrew and Maxwell; his brothers, Patrick, Steven (Tammy), Mark (Dawn), Todd and Ryan (Angie); his uncles, Dick Wittkowski (Lois) and David Wittkowski (Vivan); and his friends, Tom and Jim Velte.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Service (4291 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home (4291 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546).
