He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his children, Angela Elder (Bruce), Michael Paul Oatis (Susan) and Stefanie Ackermann (Chad); and his grandchildren, Gunnar Elder (Maria), Hannah Elder, Jonas Oatis (Brianna), Shamus Oatis (Brooke), Rachel Griffith (Brady), Sophie Elwell (Jack), Zeb Oatis, Oatis Ackerman, Ian Oatis and Holly Oatis.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Breton Ridge Vineyard Chapel (2772 Pfeiffer Woods Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
