It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mel Pospiech of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on April 4, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank and Eva; his son Marty (Katie); his siblings-in-law, Tom, Jerry, John Ladwig, Mary Zobro and Margaret Ladwig; and also, Stanley and Margaret Ladwig.
He is survived by: his wife Katie; his children, Mark Pospiech, Julie Herrmann (Henry) and Jeanne Morgan (Curtis); his grandchildren, Robert Pospiech (Jesse), Kaitlyn Havens (Zach), Kelli Pospiech, Ashley Herrmann, Nikki Lewis (Zach), Emily Herrmann, Taylor Catron (Ethan), Bailey Freund (Beth) and Niko Freund; his great grandchildren, Jaelynn, Rylee, Koier, Allena, Kaydance, Landon, Josiah, Alannah, Amari, Aria and August; his brother Denny Pospiech (Pat); and his siblings-in-law, Mike Ladwig and Pippy Tuohy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
