She was predeceased by: her husband Stanley Adam Adamson; her parents, Max Hermance and Violet Knappen; and her brother Thomas Hermance. She is survived by: her granddaughters, Holly Scherer and Nicole Dykstra; her children, Melody Dykstra, Matthew Adamson and Donna Scherer; her grandchildren, Matthew Adamson, Stephanie Thompson, Theodore Scherer, Bryan Scherer, Andy Scherer and Paul Scherer; her great grandchildren, Alani Thompson, Dominic Adamson, Michael DeJager, Nicole Thompson, Theo Scherer, Emma Scherer and Zeke Scherer; her great great grandchild Bentley Vann; and her siblings, Larry Knappen (Mary), Michael Knappen (Mary), Patrick Knappen (Luanne), Denny Knappen (De), Sandy Bierema (Nick) and Denise VanderMay. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stroo Funeral Home (1095 68th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
