She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Jaffas and Athens Jaffas; her brother Alex; her husband Tony Lakos (Tony); her daughter Athena Elsheikhi; her brother Andy of Florentine's Restaurant; her sister-in-law Maria Jaffas; and her in-laws, Sam, Dorothy Lakos, Pete and Catherine Pulos.
She is survived by: her son Pete Lakos; her son-in-law Ibrahim Elsheikhi (Abe); her grandchildren, Nick Lakos (Nicole), Marina Jeurink (Dan), Joe Elsheikhi (Karen) and Sara Matthews (Tim); and her great grandchildren, Renee, Benjamin, Cora, Marina, Odin and Calvin. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and close family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church (330 Lakeside Dr NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
