It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maria Kocsis (Grand Rapids, Michigan), who passed away on January 10, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Liisa; and her siblings, Krina Vander Zee, Audrey Winters, Henry DeLugt, William DeLugt, Joan Spee and Pauline Bierling.
She is survived by: her son Jon Rupert (Kelly); her grandchildren, Adam Rush, Zyan Rush, Evan Jackson, Emily Jackson, Landon Rupert and Benjamin Rupert; her sisters, Ann DeWindt, Irene Erickson and Carla VerHage; her brother-in-law Henry Bierling; and her niece Tami Crank. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Church (707 E Beltline Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525).
