He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry Gerbens and Jane Gerbens; his wife Mary Sue Bajema; his children, Liza (Khan Nedd), Heidi (Chris Bailey) and Eric (Nicole Gerbens); his grandchildren, Michael, Noah, Olivia Nedd, Mason, Britta, Anya Bailey, Mika and Beau Gerbens; his great grandchildren, Liam and Maxwell Nedd; and his siblings, Dan Gerbens and Mary Beth.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Central Reformed Church (10 College Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to further Larry's legacy may be made to Calvin Seminary or Grand Rapids Christian Schools.
