He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend John Malestein and Thelma Malestein; and his siblings, Eric and Merrie Makowski. He is survived by: his wife Barb; his sons, Bradley (Lan), Jarod (Laurie) and Dr. Justin Malestein; his grandchildren, Isaac, James, Keegan, Ferris, Apollo and Lilith; his siblings, Gail Bos (Dave), Phil (Nancie), Steve (Karen) and Mark (Elisa); and his in-laws, John Timmer, Jim, Karen Duthler, Richard, Sandy Garneau, Bill and Bonnie Fleetham. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and grand nieces and nephews.
