In the sacred silence of farewell, Joan is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Joan's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her husband Marvin; her son Timothy Door; and her grandson Jason Tuinstra. She is survived by: her children, Marcia (Tom Ziemer), Marva Moriarty, Douglas (Patricia Door) and Michael (Kimberly Door); and her brother Alton "Butch" Lobbezoo. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Stroo Funeral Home (1095 68th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Dutton United Reformed Church (6950 Hanna Lake Ave SE, Caledonia, MI 49316).
