She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Smothers and Gussie Smothers; her daughter Bernice; her siblings, Vernon, Lee, Lonnie, Terry and Bertha; and her friend Joe Polite.
She is survived by: her children, Anthony, LaTonya and Lakieti; her grandchildren, Jaren, Jericha, Briana, Braxton, Ariana, Jasmine, Davion, Kambriana, Tiana, Cinqua, Makayla, Aubri, Zayyir, Kha'mari and Tony Jr.; her great grandchildren, Cencere, Cartier, Jaiden, Caliahs, Azaria, Ava, Autumn, Niko, Gionni, Kayden, Joshua, Jacob, Isabella, Jayanna, Jahsiah and Joy; and her sisters, Lucy, Lorene and Charlotte.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care (3627 Linden Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49548).
