He is survived by: his children, Audrey Jennings, James Jennings Jr. (Kim), Steven Jennings (Gloria), Candie Durr (Jennings) and Timothy Jennings; and his siblings, Gloria LaGrone, Minister Martha Shipp (Delbert), Ruby Jennings and Dr. Willie Jennings (Joanne). He is also survived by his grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
