He was predeceased by: his wife Marian; his parents, Elmer Heerema and Rena Heerema; and his brother George Evan Heerema (Mary). He is survived by: his children, Rohn Heerema (Dawn) and Lynne Heerema; his siblings, Clarence Heerema (Jean), Elmer Heerema (Denna) and Henny Krug (Randy); and his sister-in-law Madelon Gelder. He is also survived by three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
