Jack Roger Herres Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jack Roger Herres (Grand Rapids, Michigan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 7, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Heeres and Fannie Heeres; his grandson Logan Heeres Knibbe; his sister Louise Sonderfan; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Sonderfan and Richard Hoezee.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Heeres; his children, Gregory Heeres (Karen Rogers) and Gayle Heeres Knibbe (Peter Knibbe); his grandchildren, Alexa Heeres Hernandez (Tavo), Austin Heeres, Addisen Heeres, Gary Larson (Aimee), Sawyer Knibbe, Grant Knibbe, Ella Knibbe, Grace Knibbe and Araya Knibbe; his sister Denna Heerema (Elmer); and his sister-in-law Sally Hoezee. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Hospice.
