He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Steve (Robin), Roger (Mary), Nancy and MaryBeth (Scott); his grandchildren, Cailee Gonzalez (Steve), Liz Wilson (Ryan), Anne Sedore, Alex Zafiro (Chuy), Erik Van Till, Emily Evers (Chris), Jake Evers (Gladys) and Shaelyn Evers (Chad); and his great grandchildren, Ayden, Austin, Calixto, Ellie and Oliver.
He was a member of professional societies such as the American Astronomical Society and American Scientific Affiliation, and advisory board member for the John Templeton Foundation.
