She was predeceased by: her siblings, Jack, Jim and Maybelle; and her daughter Katie Ortman. She is survived by: her niece Gwen; her nephews, Steve, Tom and Jon; her significant other Bud; and her pet Orlando. She is also survived by her son Fred (June) Essner, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 21st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Service (4291 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546).
