He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Blas and Alexandra Fernandez; his parents, Natividad Monsalvo and Gladys Monsalvo; his son Antonio Monsalvo; his sister Nancy Feliciano; and his nephew Richard Monsalvo.
He is survived by: his children, Gilbert Monsalvo Jr., Jennifer Monsalvo (Jason), Natalie Monsalvo (Jesus), Kandice Monsalvo (Brandon), Samantha Monsalvo (Isaac) and Michael Monsalvo (Salliela); his grandchildren, Gabriel, Aurelia, Analisia, Juan, Ariana, Jesse, Marisela, Jesus Jr., Daniel, Juliana, Brandon Jr., Jazlyn, Janisa, Alana, Opal, Levi, David, Karolyna and Salliela; his great grandchildren, Isabella and Eliseo; and his siblings, Natividad Monsalvo III (Lucille), Linda Sanchez, Debbie Paiz (David) and John Monsalvo (Melissa). He is also survived by aunt and uncle, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph the Worker (225 32nd St SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49548).
