She was predeceased by: her husband Richard; and her sisters, Rita VanAntwerp and Judy VanderVate. She is survived by: her son Richard Secord, Jr. (Patricia); her stepgrandchildren, Stephanie VanderVeen (Justin), Michelle Patterson (Adam) and Charles Harlett (Amanda VanderVeen); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Alaina, Ethan, Oliva Vanderveen and Riley Harlett; her sisters, Christine Budnick and Lorraine Jerkits; and her sister-in-law Deta Klinge.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Reyers North Valley Chapel (2815 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery.
