Esther Schepers Obituary

The passing of Esther Schepers of Grand Rapids, Michigan leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 9, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dora Vredevoogd (Westmaas) and Cornelius Vredevoogd; her husband Alvin Schepers (Bud); and her siblings, Clarence Vredevoogd, Gert Winkle, Dennis Vredevoogd, Wilfred Vredevoogd and Marvin Vredevoogd.

She is survived by: her children, Kim (John Kiryanoff), David (Joanne Schepers), Beth Cooper (Dave Brockman), Tracy and Dan (Tracie Schepers); her grandchildren, Johnny (Jess), Justin (Katie), Jeff (Jill), Rick (Marlo), Kristin (Tim), Jillian (Nate), Tessa, Travis, Ben, Joshua (Molly), Emily (Isaac), Noah, Micah, Jacob (Audrey), Gabe, Nik (Ruby) and Ana; and her siblings, Jack Vredevoogd (Lois), Sandy Vredevoogd, Calvin Vredevoogd (Jan), Larry Vredevoogd (Phyllis) and Harry Vredevoogd. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stroo Funeral Home (1095 68th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
