Elwin Riemersma Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 15, 2024, Elwin Riemersma of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Elwin shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Elwin farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Riemersma and Dorothy Riemersma (Smith). He is survived by: his family Kathleen; his wife Kathleen (Bieber); his children, Timothy Riemersma (Deborah), Michael Riemersma (Susan), Mark Riemersma (Karen) and Amy Chambers; and his brother Jerry Riemersma. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren, and 16 great- grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Stroo Funeral Home (1095 68th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508). Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
Contributions in memory of Elwin may be made to St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.
