Edward Urban Bussey Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward Urban Bussey of Grand Rapids, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 13, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bussey and Cecilia Bussey; his daughter Brenda Bussey; his granddaughter Michelle Hellwig; his siblings, John Bussey, Bruce Bussey (Dee) and Rosella Bonner (Bob); and his brother-in-law Jim McNabb.
He is survived by: his significant other Sue Zuchowski; his daughters, Carmen Thomas (Edward), Dori Polites (Mark) and Sara Shelton (Brian); his grandchildren, Nicole Smith (Kyle), Audrey Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Kyle Polites, Tess Polites, Sophia Shelton and Max Shelton; his great grandchildren, Rylee Smith and Wyatt Smith; his siblings, Ron Bussey (Linda), Irene Bruen (Patrick), Marcella McNabb, Jane Hutchinson (Donald) and Terri Bussey; and his sister-in-law Ruth Bussey. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, friends, and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Jude Catholic Church (1120 4 Mile Rd NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Catholic Church.
