He was predeceased by: his wife Cheryl Stearns; his parents, Hubert Stearns and Coleta Stearns; his parents-in-law, Clemens and Marcella Kloeckner; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Kloeckner.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Stearns (Marie-Christine) of Grand Rapids and Lisa Lancaster (Brian) of Jenison; his grandchildren, Amelie, Nathan Stearns, Tyler and Jake Lancaster; his brother Lloyd Stearns (Jan); and his siblings-in-law, Rollie Kloeckner and Rhonda Dedyne (Wayne). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, Emmanuel Hospice, or the American Cancer Society.
