Dorothy Shook Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Shook (Grand Rapids, Michigan), born in Bailey, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 26, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Dorothy may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Shue and Elizabeth Shue; her husband James Shook Jr.; and her children, James W. Shook III and Laura Helmer (Craig).

She is survived by: her daughter Stacey Groenke (Dave); and her sister Doris. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
