He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Dyke and Kate Van Dyke (Schriver); his wife Ruth A. Van Dyke (Stehouwer); his daughter Cheri Lynn; and his daughter-in-law Janet Van Dyke.
He is survived by: his children, Robert L. Van Dyke, Daniel L. Van Dyke (Janie) and Kathleen R. Doering; and his grandchildren, Shannon Andree (Martin), Matthew Van Dyke (Jennifer), Heather Peters, Danielle Young (Luke), Laurie Bird (Corey) and Hope Van Dyke. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Est Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes (1833 Plainfield Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
