With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dolores Marie (Maksymowski) Golec of Grand Rapids, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 18, 2025 at the age of 95. Though Dolores Marie has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her husband Augustus "Butch"; and her siblings, Sally Hekker and Jack Maksymowski. She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Steenwyk (Jim), Sandi Rappuhn, Terri Strain (Scott) and Jean Connor (Ted King); and her sister-in-law Carol Maksymowski. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Church (2510 Richmond St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Emmanuel Hospice.
