Debra Jongsma Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Debra Jongsma (Grand Rapids, Michigan), who passed away on July 13, 2024 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Debra may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Debra touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her children, Nichole Derks (Jim), Christopher Jongsma (Katie Duck) and Jessica Alexander (Patric); and her grandchildren, Marijke, Rosalie, Thomas and Sophia. She is also survived by family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Deb requests that donations be made in her memory to Corewell Health Foundation West Michigan - Pediatric Cancer Research to continue the fight against cancer and to support vulnerable children - two causes that were dear to her.
