It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Cornelia Jansen of Grand Rapids, Michigan, born in Sully, Iowa, who passed away on September 13, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Charlie Jansen; and her sons, Mark Jansen and Tim Jansen. She is survived by: her children, Allen (Marcia Jansen), Russell (Jill Jansen), Sharon (Mike Gallup), LeAnne Jansen and Susan (Pete VanderWeide); her siblings, Delia DeJong, Norma, Carroll Harthoorn and Ed (Judy Van Kooten); and her siblings-in-law, Berdena Vos, Wilma Van Kooten, Melvin, Marilyn Jansen, Janet Jansen and Arlyn Jansen. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Covenant Christian Reformed Church (7171 Willard Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49548).
Memorial contributions may be made to a Christian school of one's choice or to the Pine Rest Patient Assistance Fund.
