The passing of Consuelo Garcia of Grand Rapids, Michigan, born in Port Isabel, Texas leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on September 24, 2024 at the age of 92. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alejandro Martinez and Victoria Martinez; her son Hector Guillen; her brothers, Eustaquio, Alejandro, Felipe and Ramiro; her grandchildren, Isaisas Mata Jr., Melissa Rae Brougham and Estovan Griffin; and her great grandchild Adrian Guillen.
She is survived by: her children, Reyes Guillen (Josie), Wenceslao Guillen (Maria), Cecilia Esquivel (Pepe), Patricia Kirt (James), Irma Mata (Isaisas), Velia Guillen, Inez Brougham, Ana Laura Belmares (Everado), Maria of Loudres, Amelia Garcia, Danette Garcia and Santia Delgado. She is also survived by thirty-eight grandchildren; ninety-nine great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel (3131 Division Ave S, Grand Rapids, MI 49548). A rosary was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Church (101 Hall St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49507).
