With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Constance Boersma of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on January 2, 2021 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Hinga (Bud) and Gladys Kendrick Hinga; her husband Max D. Boersma; her sons, Bill (Claire Boersma), Tom (Betsy Jasperse) and Paul (Melody Boersma); her grandchildren, Bryan, Melissa Boersma, Ross, Rachel Dieleman, David, Tara Boersma, Brent, Caitlin Boersma, Aaron, Hannah Beth Boersma, Joel Boersma, Patrick, Emily Sanders, James Jasperse, Scott Jasperse, Shirley Boersma and Lois Boersma; and also, Rod and Vern.

“Connie became “Grandma Boersma” to our daughter, Emily in 2012 when they were paired up during her freshman year seminar. What a beautiful friendship began with her and our family. We loved meeting up with her when visiting from CO. She was a great source of wisdom, encouragement and support. She radiated the joy of the Lord with her beautiful smile and laughter and was the only grandparent able to attend Emily's wedding last year. She will be greatly missed by our family and was loved so much.”
