It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Cathy C. VanMarkenstein of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 94, on June 18, 2024. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Cathy shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Cathy farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Eliza Struik and Jacoba Struik (Kik); and her husband Gerrit. She is also survived by three sisters; several nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Orchard Hill Church (1465 3 Mile Rd NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49544). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
