He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerrit Jan and Elbertje VandenTop; his siblings, Harriet Schlusser (Dick), Mae Popma (George), Johanna Donkersgoed (Gerrit), Gerrit Jan VandenTop (Grietje) and George VandenTop; his brother-in-law Everett Baker; his in-laws, Willem, Wijntje Asma (Trompetter), Elisabeth Groenewegen (Kees), Jacoba DenHartigh (Pete), Gre Visscher (Piet), Neil Asma (Alberdina), Nick Asma (Lois), John Asma, Jake Asma, Chuck Quist and Mary Asma; and his wife Marianne.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Tuinstra (Mitch) of West Lafayette and Marcel Vanden Top (Hope) of Holland, Michigan.; his grandchildren, Chloe, Caden (Elly), Corey Tuinstra, Elyssa and Gavin VandenTop; his great grandchild Julia; his sister Trudy Baker; and his sisters-in-law, Francine VandenTop and Willie Kroesbergen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Cutlerville Christian Reformed Church (1425 68th St SW, Byron Center, MI 49315). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:15 PM.
