It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Brethauer of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on June 30, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Wallace Brethauer; her daughter Karen Hittle; her grandsons, Steven Van Dyke and Christopher Brethauer; her parents, Frances Bush and Samuel Bush; and her brother Samuel Bush.
She is survived by: her son Michael O'Reilly (Tracy); her grandchildren, Sean O'Reilly (Erin) and Erin Reilly (Sean); her daughter Patricia VanDyke; her grandchildren, Linda Fazzina (Chris) and Daniel VanDyke (Rachael); her daughter-in-law Brenda Chase; her children, Amanda Brethauer, Jeff Brethauer and Jennifer Prasad (Ashwin); her son-in-law Michael Hittle; her children, Kari Brethauer, Valencia Sanders, Racquel Renkema (Ben), Ricky Sanders, Natashia England and Robert Hittle; and her siblings, Donetta Jager (Paul) and Terry Bush (Lin). She is also survived by her family and friends.
