Arthur Medard Syrek Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 18, 2025, at the age of 96, Arthur Medard Syrek of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Rita Syrek (Dubiel); his friend Mary Rita Koelbel; his parents, Medard Syrek and Mary Syrek; and his siblings, Rita Marihugh and James D. Syrek.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Lefaive (Doran) and Dana Norton (Bill); his grandchildren, Rocque Lefaive (Kirstin), Geir Lefaive and Tyler Norton; his great grandchildren, Elise Lefaive and Mikayla Norton; and his brother Gerald Syrek (Bonnie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Church (2230 Lake Michigan Dr NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Rose Arbor Hospice, Kalamazoo, MI.
