It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amaryllis Buurstra (Grand Rapids, Michigan), born in Leighton, Iowa, who passed away on June 24, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob DeJong and Julia DeJong; and her husband Frank Buurstra. She is survived by: her children, Jack, Patti Buurstra, Todd, Natsuko Buurstra, Dean and Beth Buurstra; and her grandchildren, Tim, Paige Buurstra, Pete, Julie Buurstra, Emily, Aaron Carriere, Stefanie, Patrick Konarska, Zachary Buurstra, Carissa Buurstra, Tyler Woelfel, Chris Raab, Chris Hatcher, Ben and Lauren Buurstra. She is also survived by her thirteen great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Amaryllis' name can be made to Mel Trotter Ministries.
