He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Geiger and Wilma Geiger (Woodard); his stepson Christopher Purple; his brother Glen Geiger; and his brother-in-law Ron Fulgor.
He is survived by: his wife Mikki Geiger of Grand Marais; his daughters, Jodi Merritt (Brian) of Lake George, MI and Traci Love (Mike) of Owosso, MI; his stepchildren, Scott Purple of Breckenridge, MI, Nathan Purple of Reed City, MI and Cassaundra Purple of Grand Marais; and his siblings, Patricia Coleman (Bob) of Elsie, Joan Fulger of Lansing, Martha Raatz (Terry) of Owosso and Ted Geiger of Grand Marais. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
