It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William T. Maher (Grand Ledge, Michigan), born in Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on February 22, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Maher and Mary Maher (Foley); his wife Janet "Jan"; his children, Scott Maher (Penny), Shirley Spalding (Doug), Tom Maher (Julie) and John Maher (Leah); his grandchildren, Ashlee, Annmarie, Erin, Will, Emma and Evelyn; and his great grandchild Payton. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church or Kiwanis Club of Downtown Lansing in memory of William Maher.

“To all of you my deepest condolences. I never remember a time that Bill wasn't in the history of my family. He and dad (Jerry) joined at the hip from childhood. Now they can roam the neighborhood, make prank teenage calls, play basketball, rejoice in each others marriages and families, encourage each other and have a beer or two while waiting for the rest of us to catch up. Hug each other and remember all the good times and how lucky you are to have one another! With love, Kris (Doyle)”
