He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Garchow and Marguerite Garchow (Sands); his son Mark; and his brothers, Marlin, Marwood and Edward.

He is survived by: his wife Judith (Bartels); his daughters, Ann Pohl (John) and Karen Friberg (Rich); his daughter-in-law Laurene Garchow; his grandchildren, Lyndsey Pohl, Emily Sommers (Jacob), Kelsey, Kyle Friberg, Garrett (Sarah) and Lauren Garchow; and his great grandchildren, Owen Garchow and Henry Sommers.

Memorial contributions in Wayne's name may be given to the Grand Ledge Area District Library, 131 E. Jefferson Street, Grand Ledge, Michigan 48837.
