He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ann; his daughters, Lynette Ellis, Nancy Schut and Faith Ann Ellis; and his siblings, Eddie, Eleanor and Esther.
He is survived by: his children, Dena Ellis, Debra McKrill, Katherine Johnson, Tamra Ellis and Charlie Ellis. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
