She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father Robert De; her husband Vernon Dale Thomas; her brothers, Ron and Wayne Van De Velde; her children, Heidi Slack (Don) and Lance Thomas; her grandchildren, Ashley Temsey, Lindsay Wood (Richard) and Kenzie Baley (Haydn Floyd); her mother Joyce Marie Nash (Riley); and her sister Karen Lehman.
