It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Eleanor Cranson of Grand Ledge, Michigan, born in Bay City, Michigan, who passed away on June 25, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie L. Newman and Myrtle I. Newman (McCreery); her husband Norwood Eugene Cranson; and her siblings, Virginia, Frederick, Paul and Hubert Newman.

She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Sanders (Thomas), Michael Owen Cranson, Molly Gene Perry and Nancy Louise Simons (Randy); her grandchildren, Lisa, Jim, Jessica, Ned, Sara and Meghan; and her siblings-in-law, Catherine Agnes Cranson and Rodney Cranson (Sharon). She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

Memorial contributions in Margaret's name may be given to the Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 W. Grand River Avenue, Lansing, Michigan 48906.

“To the Cranson family, I am sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. I grew up knowing the Cranson family as well as attending Greenwood Elementary School. I never had the pleasure of being a student of hers. I remember Cindy, Molly and Nancy. If I remember correctly Nancy was in band also. Molly I saw often in later years while I was bartending at the Log Jam. I send my condolences to all if your families. Sincerely, Cindy Jepsen”
