It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kay Lucille Garfield of Grand Ledge, Michigan, born in Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on March 12, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Honkanen and Lucille Honkanen (Hall); the father of her children Leonard "Thayne" Garfield; her son James Garfield; and her brother-in-law Richard Keith.
She is survived by: her son Joseph Garfield (Angela); her grandsons, Zachary and Brendan Garfield; her sisters, Judith Keith and Carla Smith (Roger); her nieces and nephews, Lori Petriccione, Lindsay Smith, David Duncan (Michael) and Andrew Smith (Amanda); her great-niece Ruby Smith; and her great-nephews, Marino Petriccione, David Petriccione (Alexia) and Samuel Smith.
