He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Gilson and Bernice Gilson; his sisters, Maureen Braeden and Nancy Olivas; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Badella and Freida Schneeberger.
He is survived by: his wife Jane; his sister Joanne Badella; and his brothers-in-law, Cecil Braeden, Lou Olivas, Tom (Katherine) and John Schneeberger. He is also survived by 11 nieces and 3 nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
