He was predeceased by: his grandson Jason Mailand; his children, Diane Mailand, Gary Dean and John Dean Jr.; and his wife Louise Dean.
He is survived by: his parents, Clyle Dean and Josephine Dean; his children, Daniel Dean (Teresa) and Sue Dean; his brother Jerry Dean (Sally); and also Beth Devlin. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.
