It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Shirley Fernand (Grand Ledge, Michigan), who passed away on March 3, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mamie Hawkins and Luther Hawkins; her husband Theodore Roman Fernand; her son Scott Alan Fernand; her grandson Douglas Lee Ruble Jr.; and her siblings, Sylvia Holcomb (JB), Irene Young (William "Bill") and Orville Hawkins.
She is survived by: her children, Sallie A Fernand-Shears (Tom) and Steven A. Fernand (Jenifer); her granddaughters, Laura Barnett (Timothy), Barbara Whitney (Jon), Emily Fernand, Stephanie Sebrell (Aaron) and Sally Brege (Lee); her great grandchildren, Alexis Ruble (Taylor), Jade Ruble, Bonnie Milleville (Jim), Isabelle Rowley (Wyatt), Julia Brown, Jocelyn Brown, Marlow Brege, Mallory Sebrell, Theo Sebrell, Norah Sebrell and Sophie Sebrell; and her great great grandchildren, Ivy, Zeke and Marty.
