She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Brandsen and Henrietta Brandsen (Bartels); her husband Vaughn Baxter; her son David Baxter; her granddaughter Hailey Baxter; and her siblings, Jannette Hoort, Pauline Arnesen, Alfred Brandsen and Gordon Brandsen.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Rosales, Michael Baxter, Julie Garner (Jerry) and Steven Baxter (Kristy); her grandchildren, Craig Baxter (Laraine), Bobby Baxter (Sami), Michael Vaughn Baxter, Heather Saxton (Michael), Andrew Rosales (Tammy), Jacob Garner (Haley), Cody Baxter (Christine), Jordan Baxter, Crystal Parker (Anthony) and Travis Rosales; and her friend Agnes Cranson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in loving memory of Harriet Baxter to Hospice of Lansing.
